Join the Dots for Kidney Health

13/03/2025 12:00:00 AM - 14/03/2025 11:59:59 PM

Activities: Steps

Help Kevin the kidney join the dots for Kidney Health The theme for World Kidney Day 2025 is “Are Your Kidneys OK? – Detect early, protect kidney health”. The theme puts the focus on how important it is to know what can cause kidney disease and when you should get things checked out, so any kidney damage can be uncovered and managed. World Kidney Day also highlights the things we can all do to lower the risk of developing kidney disease. Something we can all do to keep ourselves and our kidneys healthy is to have a healthy diet and keep active. To celebrate World Kidney Day, we are inviting you to take part in our across country challenge. Join the TUH kidney team, which includes staff, patients, carers and loved ones to collectively walk, run or cycle the distance between the 25 units that provide lifesaving dialysis treatments across the country. Great things can be done by us all working together in our own small way. We are hoping that if everyone does a few kilometres we will reach our target of joining the dots between all dialysis units around the country, collectively raising awareness of kidney health. To log your activity… 1km = 1400steps We will update you on Kevin’s progress during the day on the TUH Facebook page. #WorldKidneyDay #JoinTheDotsforKidneyHealth
